A serie of five Westland related photos for a permanent exposition in a museum in the Westland.

“The photos show five portraits of the last generation grape-growers who used to cultivate grapes for a profession. In their hands they are holding memories from the glorious days of the Westland grape industry.

Faster and cheaper ways of transportation and improved cooling techniques made cultivating grapes in the Dutch Westland a very costly and labour intensive alternative on a global and local market. Causing the disappearance of the very specific knowledge of cultivating grapes.”
