Berlin’s legendary Tresor techno club is to reopen in an old steam-heat generating plant in Mitte as early as March. The new space, to be called Modem, will also host an art center modeled on London’s Tate Modern.
The post-Wall club closed in 2005, the label did not.

This weeks Newsweek-theme is about the urban sprawl that will cover the earth for the next decades and how cities will transform and grow closer together to transform into large urban hubs, a so called megapolis. Three weeks ago we were in Paris visiting Morphosis, Continuities of the Incomplete an exposition in Centre Pompidou featuring sixteen of Morphosis current projects. On a platform of aluminium and glass you’re standing above sketches, models, videos and projections. Below your feed interviews are played with Thom Mayne talking about urban space and planning. There was this great interview in the back of a taxi. I can’t find it online. If anyone knows where to find it, let me know. I found this interview on Google video.

The exposition will end july 17th.
