About
Hi, hypernarrative is a blog by Wilbert Baan about Art, Media and Technology with a focus on interactive storytelling. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed with Google or Netvibes. I'll post a few messages a week. Thanks for visiting!
My name is Wilbert Baan (27). I work as an interaction designer for the Dutch national newspaper de Volkskrant. In 2005 I graduated as Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts and Technology (Hons.). I graduated with an exegesis consisting of a thesis about social classifications and its implications on meaningful data storage and retrieval. Combined with this thesis was a project called Medialandschap, which creates a visual interface that focuses on different information axes to sort and give meaning to short, low context videos.
This website functions as a personal trail, it’s a portfolio, a place to experiment, a place to start new projects and a weblog about all things surrounding digital life. The name hypernarrative is chosen because this is the essence of the internet. You control the story.
Everything posted on this website is my responsibility, no one is asked for permission or approval, it represents a personal opinion and has nothing to do with the people or companies I work with.
I’m always interested in starting great new projects or experiments, contact me.
