Everyone is an artist
This afternoon I went to the forrest and took my camera with me. Like almost every other hiker in the forrest.
Photography has become the most practiced form of public art. This afternoon I have seen people taking pictures, talking about cameras, comparing photos and sharing useful tips. “No, you shouldn’t use your flashlight when photographing this mushroom”.
Digital photography has given a lot of people a great hobby. People who never thought about taking photos before. Or never thought about taking photos of irrelevant objects. The act of photographing moved from collecting memories to entertainment.

Wow, these are fabulous!
The flashlight creates a surreal sphere.
I went to the forrest myself last saturday and had the chance to take about 3 pictures before my batteries went dead :(

Love this mushroom series, it looks almost surreal. Did you use flash? Or did you use theatrical sunlight and Photoshop to make it look so extraordinary?

I used the camera’s flashlight. I like the surreal look you can create when using it during the day. Especially with shadows and dark corners.
Most mushrooms are small (it is hard to make great photos of the big ones). I took the pictures by placing my camera in the sand for the right angle.
By the way, some of the mushrooms look pretty surrealistic all by themselves ;)
