Hi, hypernarrative is a blog by Wilbert Baan about Art, Media and Technology with a focus on interactive storytelling. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed with Google or Netvibes. I'll post a few messages a week. Thanks for visiting!
Last week my girlfriend bought a Nabaztag wifi rabbit. The fun thing about it is that it has this very easy api. I wanted to build something for it but got lost on the way, maybe some other time.
The result at least includes images of the rabbit (that’s something). It works on your microphone. When you will do nothing those rabbits will (rabbitstyle) multiply like crazy, the only way to get rid of them is by making a lot of noise.
Get ready and shout :)

Free online blogsoftware gave everyone the ability to publish online without any technical knowledge regarding online publishing.
This was great, there was only one problem. Blogs came with these boring, predefined, hard-to-change templates. And then there was MySpace. MySpace empowered youngsters to control content and style.
And so they did, over 100 Million did. The web got a little less boring and a little harder to browse. Good or bad? I don’t know.

Today I started experimenting with OPML and outliner. It is really nice. Your blogging tool is an OPML based outliner. It looks like notepad, stores the files locally and upload a complete version of your blog at the moment you push publish. It also supports podcasting and has a build in aggregator for rss-feeds. This last function is making it possible to publish RSS in one (or two) clicks.
The only disadvantage. All files are stored locally, you’re really depending on your laptop for updating the blog. On the other hand, it has this function to publish directly to the new versions of Wordpress, storing your data in an online database.
Maybe it’s about time to update the engine behind this website…
