Henry Jenkins (Director of the MIT Comparative Media Studies Program) started blogging a few weeks ago. The event of him starting a blog didn’t go unnoticed in ‘the blogoshpere’. For those of you who missed it, this sure is a feed to read (RSS).

Everything that makes a connection on some emotional level is - and can be exploited as - a brand. It’s not unlikely bloggers and vloggers will be the best known brands within ten years or so, for some - digital insiders - they already are. No matter if this brand will be a real-life person or virtual alterego.
The Amsterdam based Xolo.tv is on the right track to become one.
Logo and teaser design for VK.tv a Volkskrant television channel. The styled symbol refers to a discussion cloud. The stimulation of debate and discussion are channel/medium independent values and play a key role in the foundation of the newspaper.
Technical Specs. 1) The form of logo can be easily used for animation. 2) The logo is still recognizable when heavy compressed for the small screen of a cellphone.
